We recently launched our new and improved Children’s Diabetes Centre patient folder so don’t forget to ask for your own hard copy next time you visit the diabetes clinic at Perth Children’s Hospital.
The colourful and engaging folder has been designed to be your go-to resource, not only for families navigating a new type 1 diabetes diagnosis, but also those keen to brush up on their diabetes knowledge.
It includes sections on managing diabetes including glucose monitoring, administering insulin and pump therapy. Sick day management, exercise, food planning and ‘hypos’ and ‘hypers’ are also covered.
