Researchers from the Children's Diabetes Centre recently conducted a group trial of the new and improved closed-loop insulin pump system — a device that acts like an artificial pancreas – in a camp setting.
A dozen teenagers took part in the trial out at Woodman Point Discovery Park – the first time in the world that this new system has been tested in a real-life scenario.
