Don’t miss the Children’s Diabetes Centre’s Community Forum, hosted by Perth Children's Hospital and the Telethon Kids Institute, on Thursday, March 28, featuring leading international experts on technology, exercise and type 1 diabetes as well as our local experts.
The evening includes a talk on diabetes technology and trends by Laurel Messer (University of Colorado in Denver), who has extensive hands-on experience with the closed loop system in clinical practice. In addition, Professor Mike Riddell (York University, Toronto), who will share his personal experience and the latest in research on exercise and type 1 diabetes.
The forum, hosted by the Children’s Diabetes Centre’s co-directors Professors Tim Jones and Liz Davis, will also feature a panel discussion on emerging issues in technology and exercise.
There will be the opportunity to ask the experts questions and a live feed of the event will be made available to those who cannot attend the forum in person. Tea and coffee will be held after the event. (The team will also be making a webinar so that people can watch it at a later date).
The forum will be held on Thursday, March 28, at Perth Children’s Hospital's Level 5 auditorium from 6.30-8.30pm.
