The Children’s Diabetes Centre at Perth Children’s Hospital is excited to announce that we have successfully acquired limited supplies of the Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitoring system.
The Dexcom G6 is a CGM system that requires no calibrations – meaning finger pricks are not required except in special circumstances.
Frances Leclercq, Clinical Nurse Specialist (Diabetes Technology) at PCH, said the early access program is available for newly diagnosed patients at the hospital and for children who fit the criteria.
“For those who are eligible, please keep a look out in your email as you will shortly receive information from us outlining the steps to receive your Dexcom G6,” she said.
“At this stage, due to the limited number of G6 sensors and transmitters available, only those children who meet the criteria can access a G6.”

Ongoing consumables will be supplied directly through PCH until the G6 is subsidised through the NDSS.
