When two-year-old Clara first went onto the new Ypso HCL system, her mum Sarah found that the pump belt was just a little too big for her. So, she designed and made a fit for purpose pump belt that Clara could wear daily.
Weeks later, Sarah found out another little girl had just been diagnosed with T1D and was also going on the new Ypso HCL system.
“I know how overwhelming it can be and I really felt for the family,” Sarah said.
“I’d already created the pattern and thought making another one was a small way to help the family as the adjust to the new system.”
Sarah and Clara were able to meet the family at PCH and said it was nice to hand the belt over to another little girl and hoped they had found it useful.
