Flu Program for Patients

Flu season is here.

It's that time of year again... the time to get your child's flu vaccination.

The Paediatric Influenza Vaccine Program has started at PCH. Available now  to inpatients and children attending outpatient appointments, everyone is encouraged to get the influenza vaccination.

Clinic times:                    8:30am to 4pm

Clinic days:                     Monday to Friday (no appointment required)

  The influenza vaccination is recommended for:

• All children from 6 months of age till Year 6 of Primary school
• All Children from 6 months of age with medical co-morbidities
• All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from 6 months of age and their families  

 

• COVID-19 vaccines can be co-administered (given on the same day) with an influenza vaccine and this has been demonstrated to be safe and effective.
• It is now mandatory for the influenza vaccine and all immunisations administered to be registered on the Australian Immunisation Register

This is a walk-in clinic, but bookings will also be taken on the above number. We will be prioritising children who are medically at risk. We are available to answer any questions you may have about vaccination.
